    Group of Seven
The Group of Seven artists consist of 7 members; Franklin Carmichael, Lawren Harris, A.Y. Jackson, Franz Johnston, Arthur Lismer, J.E.H. MacDonald, and Frederick Varley. The Group of Seven was found in 1920 but they met in 1911-1913 in Toronto. The Group did not only paint landscape, they started after their first exhibition at the Art Gallery of Toronto in 1920. This impacts Canada today since the start of Canadian art had begun in the 1920’s and it being a job or career rather than a hobby.
