    The Enlightenment was a time of new age and new ideas. Most Philosiphers Such as Locke, Montesquieu, and Rousseau had new ideas and plans. Locke Was all about the state of nature and the other built off it. The state of nature was all humans right without and government action. I would say this event had a 5 impact on the revolution and open peoples eyes.

    French and Indian War
    In the 1750's england and the american colonist faought against the French and this was called the french and indian war. with the proclmation of 1763 colnist were forbidden from settling west of the app mountains to avoid drama with the indians. Tis evenmt impacted the revolution with a 10 because it showed that people were ready to put there lives on the line to get there rights.

    King George III following Great Britain's acquisition of French territory in the North America after the end of the French and Indian War. The purpose of the proclamation was to organize Great Britains new North American empire and stabilize relations with Native North Americans through regulation of trade. This impacted the revolution with a 8 because there was some agreeing being done but still some conflict.

    The Stamp Act was a act that stated that all printed document such as fliers, mail, cards, newspapers and more would all have to have a stamp on them that said i have paid the tax on these. Colonists started boycotting british goods and the act was repealed. I would say this event had a 7 impact on the revolution because it showed that they could revolt and win.

    The boston Massacre was very small in time but had a massive impact. Colonial Protesters went head to head with british troops in boston and ended up with 5 deaths of colonist. This impacted 7 out of 10 because that worned the people and they were ready.

    The Tea Act of 1773 Was a tax on tea. many intellectuals were mad about this and created the boston tea party. They were known as the sons of liberty and they threw hundreds of cases of tea off the british boats into the Boston Harbor. This event changed the revolution by showing that they couldnt be stomped on and impacted it by a 8.

    Due to the tea act of 1773, a group of people caled the sons of liberty staged a protest. They dressed up as indians and threw hundreds of pounds of tea into the boston harbor. This event impacted with a 8 because it showed how they were revolting and couldnt be stopped.

    The Intolerble Acts of 1774 were the reactions to the Boston Tea Party dumping into the harbor. The british were very mad about the tea party so they made 3 new acts to punish the colnist. Such as no trial by jury, quarting act, and the blockade of boston. This Event had a massive impact on the revolution because it set fire to everyone and i would say its a 8.

    The First Continental Congress were the represenativesa from the 12 colonies got together in philadephia to talk about the intolerable acts. They sent a letter to king george to repeal the acts and he didnt. This event made a huge impact and i would say it was 7 because this is when the tables started turning.

    Lexington and concord was all about how british soldiers beleived that weapons were be held in massachusets and concord so on there way there they got confronted. They then defeated colonialsat lexington and more at concord. this event impacted with a 6 becuase it showed the brithish had the tables turning.

    The Declaration of Independance was writen by Thomas Jefferson but was originally supposed to be wrote by Benjamin Franklin. While writting it he put into considerations of Locke and Rousseaus ideas and then ended up listing 27 examples of British tyranny. This event had a 9 inpact on the revolution because it was at the end and put it into text.
  • Second Continental Congress

    Second Continental Congress
    For the senond congress they met again in 1776 to chat about the battles in Massachusetts. Thomas Paine Puts his ideas of Common Sence to independence. Most of the delegates supported and set up a committee to write the declaration of independance. This event would impact a 7 on the scale because the fact that they gathered changed the tilt of the revolution.
