Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation 0f 1763, stated that Indians owned the lands on which they were living on and white settlers in the area were to be removed. However, provision was made to allow licensed individuals to operate fur trading ventures in the proscribed area. -
Sugar Act of 1764
This act is forcing you and everyone else in America to pay a 3 cent tax on sugar.it also increased taxes on coffee, indigo, and wine. This british did not ask the colonists to do this they just forced them to. -
Currency Act of 1764
Many of the colonies started printing their own paper money in the form of Bills of Credit. They passed this law so the the british could only give out the currency, and the colonists couldnt pri it theirselves. -
Stamp Act Of 1765
The new tax was given to all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. Ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, and even playing cards were taxed. The money that was collectd was giving to the colonied to protct them. -
Quarting Act Of 1765
This act staed that all of the soliders that went into wat would be provided with houed and barracks to stay in when they were not in combat. -
