Proclamation Line
This line was made after the French and Indian War. It forbid North Americans to cross into Britain's territory on the Appalachian Mountains. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was made to place taxes on all paper goods by the British so that they could help pay for the French and Indian War. This Act was later repealed. -
Quartering Act
This act made any resident in the colonies had to house British troops and take care of them. If you had a two kids in two rooms, you will have to make those children move into one room so the British troops can be in the other. -
Declaratory Act
This act basically saying that the Parliament had the right to tax the colonist at anytime. This act accompanied the real of the Stamp Act in 1765 and the changing and lessening of the Sugar Act. -
Townshend Acts
The townshend act was passed by parliament in 1767. It was to place taxes on all imported materials such as glass, lead, paint, and tea. -
Boston Massacre
A mob of colonists were opened fire upon by British soldiers. Five colonist were killed from this incident. -
Committees of Correspondence
This was created after the Boston Massacre when 9 British soldiers opened fire on a mob of colonists. It is a group of individuals to keep people inform through the colonies. -
Tea Act
King George III wanted to tax all of their tea in North America. This was to help British East India Company to survive. This tea act is what made The Boston Tea Party happened. -
Boston Tea Party
The Sons of Liberty led by John Adams dressed up as Indians and dropped over 18,000 pounds of Britain's Tea. This is what opened the American Revolutionary War up. -
Intolerable Or Coercive Act
The Coercive Act was made to punish Massachusetts for the Boston Tea Party. This took away all self-government and historic rights, this enraged the Thirteen Colonies and led up to the American Revolutionary War. -

The shot heard around the world is a phrase to the historical event of the opening of the American Revolutionary War. This shot started the battle of the US vs. The Red Coats. -

The Declaration of Independence was created to let Great Britain know that we want our Independence from them. The person that wrote the Declaration of Independence is Thomas Jefferson and actually signed it on July 2nd but it took 2 more days for everyone sign the document.
