  • Treaty of Paris

    After Brittans victory over France and Spain during the seven year war, It was signed by kingdoms of Great Britta, France, Spain with Portugal in agreement.
  • Proclamation Act

    Colonists could not go past Appachian mountains. This Act established new colonies.
  • The Sugar Act

    It was passed and modified version of the Sugar and molasses Act which was about to expire. Colonial merchants had been required to pay a tax of 6 pence per gallon on the importation of foreign molasses.
  • The Stamp Act

    New tax imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay tax on every piece of paper they used and many other things.
  • The Quartering Act

    The colonists must quarter troops in house at no charge during times of war.
  • Stamp Act Congress

    Meeting consisted of representatives from some o the Brittish colonies in North America. The objective of the representatives was to devise a united protest against new Brittan taxation. This was the starting date of the meeting the ending date was October 25th 1765.
  • Stamp Act Repealed

    The Brittish parliament repeals Stamp Act.
  • Declaratory Act

    Parliament agreed to repeal the Stamp Act on the condition that the Declaraty Act was passed. It was an Act of the parilament.
  • Townshed Act

    There were taxes placed on glass, led, paints, paper and tea. It ended on July 2nd 1767.
  • Boston Massacre

    It was a street fight. A "patriot" mob throwing all sorts of things such as stones and sticks. There was also a squad of Brittish soldiers and several colonists were killed.

  • Tea Act

    It was the catalyse of the Boston Tea party. Final straw in a series of unpopular policies and taxes.
  • Boston Tea Party

    A political protest where the sons of liberty poured tea in the Boston Harbor.
  • Intolerable Acts

    This Act was meant to punnish the Massachusetts colonists for their defiance in throwing a large Tea shipment into the Boston Harbor.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    Meeting of delegates from 12 out of the 13 colonies where they met in Pennsylvania early in the American Revolution. This meeting began September 5th 1774 and ended October 26th 1774.
  • Decleration of Rights and Grievnces

    Declared that taxes were unconstitutional without the colonists consent.
  • Lexington and Concord

    The first military engagment of the Revolutionary war.
  • Bunker Hill

    A battle fought during the siege of Boston in the early stages of the American Revloutionary War.
  • Appeal to Reason Rejected

    Final attempt to avoid a war between the 13 colonies. The petition affirmed American loyalty to Great Brittian.
  • Common Sense

    A pamphlet written by Thomas Paine. Inspired people to declare and fight for their ndependence.
  • Decleration of Independence

    The 13 colonies were now 13 newly independent states.
