    The revolution started in 1791 when black african slaves think about how the enlightenment ideas will work on their situation of being enslaved by France. They empowered their owners and burned down their crops to stand for independence.

    The revolution was a success in the minds of african slaves. Haiti was free from france and free from slavery, the 1st place to stop slavery for good. Haiti also become the 1st black colony to become independent.

    The revolution was successful by Jose de San Martin and Simon Bolivar. Jose commanded his army for a long time before leaving it to Bolivar. With Bolivar's leadership, the army attack the spanish and was left victorious with their freedom.
