In 1791 , the slaves fought with their french masters.In 1801 , napoleon sent french army to haiti.
In 1804 , the french was defeated and haiti became their own country.

Creoles lead independence

In 1810 , simon started to get an army all together to fight for their independence.
Simon bolivar won his independence from spain in 1811.
