  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Colonists fortified 2 hills and 2000 redcoats attacked the hill and a battle happened.

    There were freed African soldiers who fought in Lexington and Concord.

    Siege of Boston

    The British pointed a bunch of cannons at the colonist's city, but they didn't want to fight so they abandoned the city.

    Concord and Lexington

    The colonists had spies that were riding through the towns, because of this Pual Revere warned the troops. They gathered minutemen and blocked the road. Somebody shot first and because of this a fight started and it ended with 8 colonists dead.

    Battle of New York City

    The British and the colonists had a battle in the middle New York because they needed to stop the colonists from getting supplys.
  • Battle of Trenton

    The Hessians made a camp in Trenton. Washington and his troops came to Trenton and surprised the Hessians, forcing them to surrender.
  • Battle of Princeton

    After the Hessians surrendered at Trenton they were captured. After that another battle happened at Princeton where more were captured.
  • Saratoga

    Since Biritoga was moving very slowly, it gave George Washington time to plan. When Biritoga finally decided to go to Saratoga, the militia was already there surrounding him and his army.
  • Valley Forge

    After they won at Saratoga they settled in a place called Valley Forge. After being there for a while, a large storm hit causing a lot of soldiers to get sick and die.

    After Vally Forge, Washington commissioned Fredrich von Steuben to train his army.
  • Battle of Monmouth

    When the British left Philadelphia, the Patriots chased them to New Jersey, Monmouth. Then a battle broke out.
  • Clinton takes the Carolinas and Georgia

    After Monmouth the British were looking for supporters. They found Clinton and he started the "southern campaign". He then took Georgia and the Carolinas.
  • Yorktown

    The British moved to Yorktown, Virginia. Meanwhile, Washington got lots of supplies so he set up a siege and did it all around York Town where the British had to surrender.
  • Treaty of Paris

    To end a war a treaty must be signed. It states that England has to say America is a Country. England has to give up all of the land from the war and so does America.
  • End of the Fighting

    A few months after the defeat of Yorktown, the British surrendered and the Treaty of Paris was signed
