The legend of King Arthur
This legend is rumored to have happened during the Dark Ages providing reason for their being no written record of a specific King Arthur. Although there are hypothesis that link King Arthur to Arthnou, a prince of Tintagel, who ruled Cornwall in the 6th Century. A piece of slate which is called the "Arthur stone" was discovered in excavations at a 6th-Century fortress in Tintagel. -

After returning from war wtih the saxons and romans, arthur was faced with civil war. People were upset he was king and began challenging him for his rule All of these rebellions were quelled and Arthur rose victorius. -

Arthur's court becoming the focus for many heroes. In the war against the Romans, Arthur defeated the Emperor Lucius and became emperor himself. This lead to a prosperous time for the middle aged ruler and conqueror. -

Sir Lancelot was King Arthur's bravest and strongest knight. They fought and won countless battles together and nothing could stand in their way or come between them, except for the lust of King Arthur's beloved Guinevere. -

Quest for the Holy Grail
At the Court of King Arthur, it was prophesied that the Grail would one day be rediscovered by a descendant of St. Joseph: the best knight in the land, the only man capable of sitting in the mysterious Siege Perilous. When such a man arrived in the form of Galahad, the son of Lancelot, along with a miraculous, though brief, vision of the Grail itself, a quest to find this holiest of relics began. -

Quest for the Holy Grail pt 2
Through many adventures and many years, the Knights of the Round Table crossed Britain in their search. Perceval discovered the castle in a land that was sickly like its spear-wounded King. However, he failed to ask of the grail and left empty-handed. Lancelot next reached Corbenic, but was prevented from entering because of he was an adulterer. Finally Galahad arrived. He was permitted entry to the Grail Chapel, his life became complete and together they were lifted to heaven. -

Betrayal
Lancelot and King Arthurs queen Guinevere were having an affair behind the kings back. Arthur's knights were aware of this but, hesitiant to inform him of the news. When king Arthur finally heard he was enraged and saught out to capture and burn Guinevere. Lancelot rescued her and began a war with the king. Netiher died durign the 2 month war and eventually the pope intervined and put it to end. Arthur was forced to take back his wife and let Lancelot free. -

Great divide
When the dispute between lancelot and arthur was resolved their was still tentions about many deaths that had taken place. King arthur had to go out of his kingdom to quell rebelions and such. During his time away he left his nephew Morderd in charge. Mordred betrayed his king and took control of the kingdom and forced Arthurs queen to flee. -

Final battle
On Salisbury Plain two mighty armies clashed. Mordred's army outnumbered Arthur two to one. However, his men, particularly the knights of the Round Table were hardened veterans. Yvain was Arthur's champion, whose prowess in battle prevented Arthur's army become overwhelmed. The Round Table knights managed to destroy much of Mordred's army, but they were finally overcome. Only Arthur, Girflet and Lucan were alive from the round table. Mordred and Arthur faced one another. In the end Arthur won. -

The death of king arthur
Arthur had been fataly wounded by Mordred and no amount time could lead to his recovery. In the end he went with Bedivere to the lake where he first aquired excalibar from the lady in the lake. He ordered Bedivere to throw the sword into the lake. Bedivere tried to trick his king and not throw the sword but arthur was not fooled. Eventually Bedivere threw the sword.After, Bedivere threw Excalibur into the lake; Morgan le Fay arrived with three other women, to take him to avilon and to heal him. -

Lancelot returns
Lancelot returned to Logres with an army because of the letter written by Gawain, but he arrived too late to help Arthur. They learned that two of Mordred's sons had seized power. Lancelot then heard news that Guinevere had became a nun and died -

Lancelot downfall
The younger son of Mordred fled in terror when he was faced with Lancelot. Lancelot pursued and killed him, but became lost in the forest. When Lancelot met with the archbishop of Canterbury they decided to become monks for the rest of their lives. He later became ill and was taken to heaven in his sleep. -
Birth of Arthur
Arthur Pendragon is born to Uther Pendragon and Igraine ,former wife to duke of Cornwall, in Tintagel. -
The round table
Arthur created this idea to show true chivilary. He didn't place himself above any of his fellow knights, which were actual knights in a much later time than the legend of king arthur takes place. This idea is widley respected and powerful to show great leadership. It is speculated that this wasn't a real table but an area where king Arthur could adress many people at once and make everyone equal. -
Excalibur
Worried that Arthur would fall in battle, Merlin took the King to a magical lake where a mysterious hand thrust itself up from the water, holding aloft a magnificent sword. It was the Lady of the Lake offering Arthur a magic unbreakable blade, fashioned by an Avalonian elf smith, along with a scabbard which would protect him as long as he wore it.
