  • Sam Houston Becomes President of Texas

    He was born in Virginia in 1793. After his dad died, he moves to Tennessee with his family. He then ran away to live with the Cherokee tribe. Later in his life, he is appointed military commander of the Texan army. After winning the war with Mexico, he becomes president of Texas
