    The way the revolution started was when oppressed people in the French colony of Haiti rose up against their french masters because they used brutal methods to terrorize them to keep them powerless. The social classes that participated were African Salves. The leaders were Toussaint L'overture and Sea-Jacques Dessaliens.

    They Indians, Mestizo and Creoles fought against Spain the revolution ended when they had there independence. The revolution turned out to be successful because they still had their independence even though Augustin was fighting for Spain at first.
