Originally passed in October of 1651, however weren't fully enforced until the 1760's. Listed specific products that were only allowed to be shipped within the English Empire.

English colonies were now only allowed to receive products from English.

Sugar Act

1764

Parliament passed this act to gain increase Britain's profits from the West Indies and North American sugar trade. Tariffs were placed on items imported by the colonies such as sugar, coffee, wine.

Stamp Act

This act required that all printed documents in the U.S. Colonies must have a revenue stamp affixed to it.

Declaratory Act

Mar 18, 1766

Passed after the repeal of the Stamp Act, declared British authority's ability to make and pass laws in the colonies

Intolerable Acts

Mar 31, 1774

Designed by British legislation to punish American colonists for the Boston Tea Party. Also known as the Coercive Acts.
