    Parliament passed this act to gain increase Britain's profits from the West Indies and North American sugar trade. Tariffs were placed on items imported by the colonies such as sugar, coffee, wine.

    This act required that all printed documents in the U.S. Colonies must have a revenue stamp affixed to it.

    Declaratory Act
    Passed after the repeal of the Stamp Act, declared British authority's ability to make and pass laws in the colonies

    Intolerable Acts
    Designed by British legislation to punish American colonists for the Boston Tea Party. Also known as the Coercive Acts.
