World`s First Personal Computer
1970 – The Kenbak-1 is considered by the Computer History Museum to be the world’s first personal computer. It was designed and invented by John Blankenbaker of Kenbak Corporation. The system first sold for US$750. Only around 40 machines were ever built and sold. According to the Computer History Museum, the Kenbak-1 was the firs ever personal computer. There were only around 40 of these machines made and they were sold for $750. Ray Tomlinson sent the first email a year later on 1971. -
