The Black Death
The Black Death came to Europe by boat in October, 1347 when 12 Genoese trading ships stopped at the Sicilian Port of Messina after a very long quest through the Black Sea. Then the people who stopped to greet them found most of the ship mates dead or extremely ill. They tried to ban the ships but it was too late, because over the next five years The Black Death would kill 20 million people. -
