Renaissance
The Renaissance occurred due to cultural movement. This began in Italy and spread all over Europe. It involved learning in art, philosophy, science and discovery. Around 8000 new words came into English in the second half of the 16th century (these were mainly borrowings from other European languages especially Latin, French, Italian and Greek). Led to the emergence of early modern English. -

Scientific writing
Scientific writing was new during the Renaissance period therefore there was little knowledge about it. Mainly used Greek and Latin words as this is what the men were taught at school. Scientific writing wasn't precise or accurate as there was limited technology.
