The poor law act
This was passed by parliament. This then stopped money going to the poor unless it is for a special acception. This then meant that the poor had to go too warehouses to work where they were overworked and underpaid. -
Public health act
This was made after a massive outbreak of cholera. Edwin Chadwick was the pain person in this. Even though it wasn't very successful its aim was to move refuges of streets and supply everyone with clean water. They also made sure there was a medical doctor in each town. -
The Beveridge report
William Beveridge came the priminster after world war 2. He thought for 'Want, Disease, Ignorance, Squalor and Idleness" the he did this was by offering free health care for all I'm 1945. -
Founding of the national health service
This was founded by aneurin Bevin in Manchester. Where he decided to bring nurses and doctors together to give good health care too all. This was all under one umbrella of the nhs. -
Acheson report
This report was done to make sure that more funding went to deprived schools and made sure they offered better nutrional food. The report also said that free fruit should be given and sweet machines should be removed for student to develop better. -
Our healthier nation
This was a plan out in action to lower the death rates. It was mainly set up for people from poorer areas. The idea was to lower prevetanbe illness by large percentages for the population under the age of 75. This was then done by putting more money into the NHS and by tackling the issue of smoking. As well as putting pressure on good hygiene and health on everyone and not judt the privileged. -
White paper report
This allowed the government to work with local people as they did surveys to see what would choices in health care they would like to make. This then allowed them to focus on working with good markets to make labelling better. They also worked on reducing smoking ans obesity.
