This is however when cognitive, and many argue moral, development begins. Babies are born with the abilities to hear, smell, and see what is going on around them.

    The Rooting Reflex Disappears
    The rooting reflex is one that most people without children have never heard of. Whenever something brushed against the babies check, they turn to it and start sucking on it. The theory of why this is, is that in the wild this would have been used to assisted in the act of breastfeeding.
  • Grasping Reflex Disappears

    Grasping Reflex Disappears
    Until this point whenever something was drug across the infant's palm, the infant would rap their hand around it and grasp it. Psychologist believe that the reason for this in the wild is to be lifted up with a single finger, so to not be left behing. At the age of 5-6 months this reflex mysteriously disappears.

    By the age of 1, the babinski relex could start to dissapear. The babinski relex is when the baby's foot sole is stroked, the baby fans their toes out. After this reflex dissapears, the normal reaction is to pull your foot away.
