A German submarine fired on the U.S. Destroyer "Greer" in the Atlantic Ocean on September 4, 1941. FDR responded "When you see a rattlesnake poised to strike, YOU CRUSH HIM". -

On December 6, 1941 President Roosevelt recieves a letter from the japaniese saying they reject all American peace proposals. FDR says "This means war" -
Japanese Attack Pearl Harbor
Japanese came over, using a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Over 2,000 people died and 1,000 injured. This attack lasted for 1 hour and a half. This offically brings the U.S. in the war.
