Typing Class
As a high school freshman I took a one semester Typewriting class. The typewriter had an LED display and would allow me to type in one line of text and make changes/edits to that single line. When I pressed the ENTER button the line of text would be typed onto the paper. This was very "high tech" at the time. The most important skill I learned in this class was typing properly. -
My first home computer
I returned to school to be certified as a teacher and was accustomed to going to the computer lab at the library or other locations across campus to access the internet, type, and print my work. But in the summer of 1994, my mother gave me a loan to buy my first home computer a Mac from the OU Apple store. I paid $1800 for my desktop computer at that time. This purchase changed my life, I could spend more time wokring on my assignments and had the flexibility to work when i wanted to. -
Computer in my Classroom
In my 3rd year of teaching, my school placed a computer in every classroom which had internet connectivity and basic softwares including Microsoft Office. My husband found a printer for me to use so that I could create assignments and other documents from my classroom rather than completing all of those tasks from home or the teacher workroom. -
Student management systems
I began teaching in Moore Public Schools this year and experienced for the first time an online gradebook program which was connected to an attendance program and could be used to manage information for parents as well. The time that I saved becuase of this student information system was incredible. No more hand writing/bubbling grade cards and attendance sheets. Hooray! -

I have really come to expect to have access to all of my products from any device I pick up. Thank you CLOUD COMUPTING
