Andrew Johnson

Johnson became president when Lincoln was assassinated. When Johnson became president, he did not assure the slaves protection. Johnson was the first president to be impeached.

Ulysses S Grant

Grant was a succesful war general in the second half of the Civil War. Grant succesfully destroyed the K.K.K. in 1871. Grant and his family after the war was given a house by the government. Grant left office on March 4, 1877

Rutherford B. Hayes
