At two weeks, body size of pin head, eggs attach to uterus lining, heart begans to beat -
Month 2
about 1/4 inches long when month begins, face, eyes, ears and limbs begin to take shape, bones began to form -
Month 3
about 1 inch long when month begans, nostrils, mouth, lips and eylids form, buds for teeth form, fingers and toes almost complete, all organs are present but still immature -
Month 4
about 3 inches and 1 oz, can suck thumb swallow, hiccup and move around, facial features become clearer -
Month 5
about 6 1/2 - 7 inches long weighs 4-5 oz when month starts, hair on body starts to appear, organs are maturing, becomes more active -
Month 6
about 8-10 inches and 8-12 oz when month begins, fat deposits under skin, but fetus appears as wrinkles, breathing movements begin -
Month 7
about 10-12 inches and weighs 1 1/2 - 2 pounds when month begins, has periods of activity followed by periods of rest and quiet -
Month 8
about 14-16 inches and 2 1/1 - 3 lbs, rapid weight gai continues, may react to loud noises with a jerking action, moves head-down position -
Month 9
about 17-18 inches, and 5-6 lbs, skin becomes smooth, movement decreses because fetus has less room to move around, desends into pelvis ready for birth -
