Main contributor was Albert Gallatin. Road that was built from Maryland to Virginia, This allowed people to move about the country easier and aided settlement of new areas. -
Erie Canals
The main contributor was John Calhoun, this was a waterway that linked New York city with Buffalo. Impacted the U.S. by opening up Ohio for transportation of farm products and development and made westward expansion easier. -
Lowell Mills
Idea made by Francis Cabot Lowell. Idea where machines and people worked in 1 building, all girls. This increased job oppurtunities for young, unmarried women and gave a chance for education. -
Steel Plow Invention
Invented by John Deere. Plow used for farming to break up tough soil without soil getting stuck to it. This made plowing farms much faster and easier, and increased farming production and expansion of farms into Midwest U.S. -

Invented by Samuel Morse. Machine used to communicate by tapping out codes that could be translated. This improved communication by making it faster and connected regions of the country together. -

Transcontinental Railroad
Major contributors were Central Pacific Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad. Railroad that connected the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts. This improved tranportation as goods and people would be connected as they moved west.
