Proclamation of 1763
Issued so that forbade colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. In doing so, he hoped to ease Native Americans who had sided against him during the Seven Years' War. The colonist were angry because the Proclamation gave the Crown control on land bought from Native Americans, and it limited the area available for settlement. -

Sugar Act
The sugar act allowed the British parliament to tax the colonies for the purpose of raising revenue ( income). The Sugar Act created a new tax on molasses that was imported from non-British isles. The Sugar Act was effectively repealed in 1765 due to the overwhelming anger from the colonists. -
Stamp Act
The stamp act allowed the British Parliament to tax the colonist,to pay for the huge debt that the french and Indian war left. In response some of the colonist didn't care, while others protested for a repeal. -
Quartering Act
In the Quartering Act of 1765 the soldiers were being used to enforce even more laws and the collection of new taxes in the colonies. The quartering act of 1774 gave the governor the authority to enforce necessary arrangements to ensure that the British troops were sheltered. In response the colonist were angry, they were being taxed to make barracks for the soldiers and they didn't like it. -

A declaration by the British Parliament that accompanied the repeal of the Stamp Act. -
Townshend Act
The Townshend Acts imposed tax on glass, lead, paints, paper and tea imported into the colonies. In response the colonist protested and those protest against the duties were especially violent in Boston -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was the killing of five colonists by British regulars on March 5, 1770. It was the culmination of tensions in the American colonies that had been growing since royal troops first appeared in Massachusetts, in October 1768, to enforce the heavy tax burden imposed by the Townshend Acts. -
Tea Act
The act's main purpose was not to raise revenue from the colonies but to bail out the floundering East India Company. The British government granted control over importation an sale of tea in the colonies. In response the colonist were angry they felt they shouldn't have to pay a tax on tea sales. Which caused the Boston Tea Party. -
Intolerable Act
The Intolerable Acts were severe laws passed by the British Parliament that were meant to punish the American colonists for the Boston Tea Party and other protests.
