  • Sugar Act

  • Tea Act

    Gave the East India Company an unfair business advantage over colonial merchants; gave them the right to sell tea directly to Americans. Some duties on tea reduced. In result, colonist dumped the tea into the Boston Tea Massacre.
  • Coercive Acts

    Closes port of Boston, Restructures Mass. gov., Restricts town meetings, Troops quartered in Boston, and No more trials or jury. The colonist boycotted british goods.
