Vespucci's 2nd Journey
Vepucci joined a journey led by Spain in order to sail around the southern tip of Africa and into the Indain ocean. However he ended up sailing to South America on Accident. He reached the mouth of the Amazin River before turning around and seeing Trinidad and Hispaniola. -

In 1500 Cabral was appointed leader of a fleet headed for India. When they arrived at Brazil they encountered stonage hunted gatherers and called them Indians. -

First Expodition of the Peaceful Sea
From 1519-1522 Magellan made a voyage accross the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean via the strait of Magellan. He was the first to complete the circumnavigation of the Earth.
