Civil Rights Act 1964
Jim Crow laws didn't allow minorities to exercise their rights. For example the right to vote, access to education, educational/economical segregation, use of public transportation and/or going into public buildings. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlawed discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender or national origin required equal access to public places and employment, and enforced desegregation of schools and the right to vote.
