The Columbian Exchange was the transfer of goods, disease and culture through the new and the old world. The transfer of goods was almost always a good impact giving high caloric foods to the old world. The diseases were terrible for the new world, which wiped out almost over half of the native population. The transfer of culture was violent at some points because of the Europeans forcefully making them switch to christianity. -

The Reconstruction Era was the period after the Civil War when they were trying to rebuild the South and give rights to ex-slaves. Southerners who supported the Confederacy could not vote for years until they were given amnesty from the president, and this made Republicans hold office. Also, the 13th, 14th, 15th amendments were passed through this period, this gave rights to all of the slaves, but the Southern Democrats started to create black codes. -

Babe Ruth is arguably the best baseball player to ever live. He played for twenty-two seasons, five with the Red Sox, fourteen with the Yankees, and one with the Braves. He set many records at the time but his most famous was 714 homeruns and he is still third today. -

World War One was a war between the central and allied powers. It was a very slow war because of the creation of trenches. Many technological advancements were made in this war somewhere, machine guns, chemical weapons, and tanks. The gas and the tanks were used to help clear the trenches. The war was over 4 years and many towns were in rubble. The allied won the war in 1918 and made Germany take all the blame this was a reason Hitler rose to power in the 1930's. -

The 1936 Olympics was very controversial because it abused human rights which led to the U.S and Europe trying to boycott the Olympics but it failed. The Nazis used it as propaganda to show a strong and united Germany while hiding the persecution of Jews and Gypsies. -

World War Two was a war between the Axis powers and the Allies. It was a very deadly war over 70 million people died. Hitler, the leader of the Axis, killed many minorities while he was in power and in control of other countries which led to half of the Jewish population being killed. Some technological advancements were the assault rifle and the high flying bombers. -

The Cold War was a arms race between the U.S and the Soviet Union in from the 1960s to the early 1990s. It involved the splitting of Berlin and Eastern Europe falling to Communism. President Reagan was the person who won the Cold War because he spent more than the USSR. The USSR could not keep up with U.S spending because the U.S had a better economy leading to the downfall of the Soviet Union. -

The DREAM Act is the development, relief, and education for alien minors. It was imposed in late 2001. It gave alien minors a chance to stay in the U.S and be educated and supported if they were under 18 years old. -

The reason the Red Sox won was that of the pitching staff for the Red Sox because the starters are phenomenal. One of the starters, Chris Sale is a lefty who had an earned run average of 2.88 throughout his carrer.
