Growth
Growth during the first 12 months is rapid. A baby more than doubles in weight and their length increases from approximately 49 cm to nearly 75 cm. The biggest change that begins to take place in relation to growth is in body proportions. -
Vison
A newborn’s vision is blurry. They can see well only up to about 20–45 cm. At about 3 weeks, an infant likes colours and shapes.By 4 weeks, they will be able to gaze steadily and focus on the face of someone speaking to them. From 5 weeks, a baby can focus both eyes on an object and can track movement of objects in close range, and from 2 months, they will begin to be able to focus on and track objects from further away.
