Peter was born on June 9 1672 in Moscow Russia, to Alexis I of Russia and his mother Nataliya Naryshkina. Peter was the 14th sibling of the family and would not be the last. -

When returned home from Europe Peter demanded that the Russian people and government express the need for technolgical advancement to meet up to pas with the countries towards the West -
The Great Northern War
The Great Northern War occurred in the Baltic States with Peter pushing his way to the Waterfront to establish a port which would allow the Russians to trade with other countries, This war would last for 21 long years with the Russian emerging victorious in the end goal -
Peace with the Ottoman Empire
The Treaty of Constantinople was signed on Jully 13, 1700 ending the Russo-Turkish War, this ended the clashing of war from 1986-1700, before signing the treaty Peter reached out to Western countries to overthrow the Ottoman Empire, but countries like France and England had been at peace with the ottoman's and didn't want to brake the treaties. -

Serfs killed because of Foundation of St. Petersburg
During the process of building of St. Petersburg the labor used to build the city was serfs or lower class servants, the conditions when building the city was horrible the city didn't have solid ground to build on, the terrain was a swamp. This caused an estimation of 25,000 to 100,000 serfs to die because of disease and working conditions, after the city was built peter forced many Lords and Nobels to move to St. Peterburg to populate the city -
