Stage 1: Trust v Mistrust
I was born on February 23rd, 2000 at Mass General Hospital. I lived in Cambridge during this time, and I was born right after my parents moved from Croatia. This would be stage 1 in my life which is trust v mistrust. I was a few months old in this picture and you can see how I needed the right amount of care and attachment because I had a pacifier. -
Stage 2: Autonomy v Shame / Doubt
In this stage I was 3 years old and I have started dance and have learned how to talk more. I don't remember much of my life in this stage, but I know that I lived in Canton and was moving to Wilmington during this stage. According to this stage, I was becoming an "individual". -
Stage 3: Initiative v Guilt
During this stage, I was 5years old. The initiative v guilt stage played a role in my life during this time because I had trouble sharing my toys with my friends. I learned right from wrong once I realized If i was not nice to them that would cause my friends to be mad at me or not like me. My parents also needed to discipline me by giving me a timeout or taking my toys whenever I didn't want to share them. -
Stage 4: Industry v Inferiority
I started developing skills at this age which was to receive awards and pride in my accomplishments. My dad had told me if I passed all my time tables in math, I would get a pet hamster. I worked very hard to pass so I would get my hamster and this taught me that hard work does come with rewards. -
Stage 5: Identity v Identity Confusion
At this point in my life, I was starting to learn what my identity/purpose was. I also formed tight groups, and styles. This was my sophomore year of high school and I wasn't sure of what I wanted to do in my life then but I began thinking about it alot more. -
Stage 6: Intimacy v Isolation
This stage in my life, is my junior/senior year of high school. I have began to form permanant relationships that are very important to me. I went to junior prom and senior prom which was very memorable. I have also bought a car and am applying to colleges now. This an important stage in my life because I am growing up now and am starting my life.
