Personal Timeline

  • Birth

    Birth
On April 3rd of 2002 at 6 am this little redhead girl came into the world.
  • First dance class

    First dance class
When I was three my mom put me in my first dance class. Little did she know this would change the direction of my entire life.
  • Freshman Year

I had a falling out with my friend group end of 8th grade because one girl was relentlessly awful to me. I left and spent half of 8th grade and freshman year alone but they eventually came back to me, mean girl being gone. I got less ugly and my confidence slowly grew. Family stuff absolutely sucked this year & my grades were low (mostly B's which is low to me).
  • My first Nutcracker

Nine years ago I performed in my first Nutcracker Ballet with Legacy School of the Arts. I was a mouse (in the smallest costume possible).
  • Wizard of Oz

I was picked to perform in a professional ballet as a Munchkin. This sparked my confidence in dance.
  • Period: to

    Middle School

Oof. What a time. I made my friend group that to this day is still pretty solid. We lost a few along the way, thankfully. I was super ugly and got bullied a good amount like everyone. Family trauma was a thing that happened too. Overall some rough years but I learned a lot about myself and it brought me to who I am today.

    Changed me as a dancer
  • The Switch

    The Switch
My dance studio had a split. My favorite teacher left and it was very hard, but I followed her which led me to Crescendo Conservatory, my current dance studio, and happy place.
  • Junior Year

Ouch. Not much to say here honestly. Mental health was extremely bad. Grades were higher than ever because I pushed myself over the edge for them. I found someone amazing though and they make me happy and feel loved to this day. I also bought a hamster absolutely no regrets, this year taught me a lot.
  • What does your time line tell you about yourself?

My timeline tells me that dance has had a huge impact on my life and will continue to until the day I die. It shows that I experienced true growth and progression in my life with athletics, academics and my self-acceptance.
  • How different would you be if you could have changed one or two events along your line?

If my first dance class had never happened I have no idea who I would be today. Big dreams and hard goals kept me motivated. I knew that in order to get what I wanted I needed to work hard. this instilled a good work ethic in me which I put towards everything I do.
  • How flexible or fixed does your future seem do be?

What 17 year old has ever been right about what their future is going to be? None. This is the rough outline I have because I am a planner, I hate the unknown. While I know what I want right now, who knows what that will be 4 years from now? I think I have a good amount of flexibility as long as I focus on doing what is meant to happen not sticking to a line by line year by year plan.
  • Accepted to dream school

    Accepted to dream school
OU School of dance has a 7% acceptance rate, they let in 10 modern majors and 10 ballet majors. On this day I cried lots of happy tears. (My university acceptance and scholarships came the same day).

I want to hold a dance career and then likely go back to school and complete a higher degree in psych. I'm not sure what field of psychology I will go into.
