BECOMING OBSESSED WITH HELLO KITTY
My mom would always wash our clothes in this one landry mat that had a man who would sell dvd and hats outside everyday. One day I saw this hat, and after I never wanted to take it off. Finding a character I loved is what made me enthusiastic of certain things that I still am enthusiastic about to this day. -
MOVING TO AMERICA
Moving to America was an experience I don't remember much of, but this event is something crucial in my life. This event is what made me proud of myself growing up. -
STARTING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
I started elementary school not understanding much. But one thing I do remember was my friendliness and how I was always kind to everyone around me even when others weren't. -
GRADUTING KINDERGARDEN
When I graduated kindergarten I remember it being one of the last days I spent just hanging out with my parents together no arguments. I remember there was a huge smile on my face all say, after that, I always have had a smile on my face and have been a very smiley person. -
SNOW DAY WITH MY CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND
In elementary school, my childhood best friend went to a different school so when we started school we never really saw each other. One day it was snowing hard and it was her sister's birthday and it was a school day, our parents let us all stay home from school due to the snow. This day was what made me sentimental and always want to save a trinket from a day I enjoyed. -
GRADUATING MIDDLE SCHOOL
In middle school, I had a rough time so when it came time to leave I was so excited. This experience taught me there is always something to look forward to and is what made me optimistic. -
STARTING HIGHSCHOOL
I was nervous tio start high school because I didn't have many friends going into it and I had had a falling out with my childhood best friend who was the only person I knew at Taft. But after my first day of high school I found myself to be a very social person and even made friends who now are my best friends. -
RETURNING TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AFTER 8 YEARS
When I returned to the Dominican Republic I was nervous because I didn't know bad my Spanish would be. But being there I grew more confident with my Spanish and slowly felt more comfortable speaking it. After going to the DR I became more confident in situations where I had to speak Spanish. -
HAVING A QUINCE
I was very hesitant to have a quince just because I didn't want the huge event like usually girls have. But my mom wanted me to so I did, and it turned out to be so much fun and be one of my favorite birthday parties. This event in my life is what made me be so self aware from all the stress I had went through planning the party.
