    One of the great parts of Streamwood's community is an integrated Cub Scout Pack. (Pack 49 to be exact.) I learned to be principled in both school and in life.

    This was my first time camping outside of Illinois. In Cub Scouts, there is a retreat for moms and sons to bond over various scout activities. We both learned about how to be great communicators.

    Earning the arrow of light award showed evidence to being principled and knowledgeable in Cub Scouts. It's a rite-of-passage in Cub Scouts.

    Every year in Streamwood, we would join our local Pack to place lumenaria bags around town. We wanted to recognize that we care about our community and the people who live there.

    Going on our 6th Grade Camping Trip gave me the ability to be a balanced person because we could be social and also be physically active.

    After living in the suburbs, we decide to get back to our hometown: Sweet Home Chicago! I learned a lot about the city before moving back. I demonstrating being knowledgeable.

    Graduating elementary school is a great feeling. Knowing that you have shown you are capable of the next level is why we divide by grade. I was reflecting upon the entire year and then some that day.

    I usually only play piano at home or by myself when practicing. I wanted to give my family a little performance to show how I am glad to share my talent with them.

    We went South to visit my grandpa's family in his home state of Kentucky. I got to talk with my great-grandmother, whom I have never met before.

    Applying for the IBCP Program shows how I was being a thinker in school. I was hesitant about joining, but I am glad I did so far. The rigorous courses have given me a taste of how challenging school can be.

    I am glad to have volunteered with Book Club to improve our school's courtyard. I used my prior knowledge in botany to identify plants and was able to use problem solving and open mindedness when considering other's opinions.

    This was my first time participating in the school's talent show. I played piano for my act. It was a great experience. I displayed being a risk-taker by trying out in the first place.

    I went with my mom, who's a teacher, to Springfield to show my support for her and the CTU. I was happy to give time to fight for what is right.
  • First Day of Dual Enrollment

    First Day of Dual Enrollment
    In order to give myself a challenge, I applied for dual enrollment at Wright College for some college credit. I demonstrated being a hard worker and studious in school.
