Personal Identity Timeline

  • Birth of Adan

  • I was Dropped on My Head

One of my family members turned away when I was one years old after they placed me on the couch. I don't remember this obviously, but it's pretty funny to me that I was literally dropped on my head as a child
  • Meeting My Brother

    Meeting My Brother
My little brother has been my partner in crime since he was born. We constantly came up with different was to prank and torment our parents, and this event depicted in the picture was certainly one that changed my life. We have the exact same sense of humor and we've been making each other laugh for years

    Reading
In 4th grade I had the reading level of a sophomore. My vocabulary and writing skills have always been advanced thanks to my mom offering me books when I was younger. I have an analytical mind that can easily tackle problems and see things from other's point of view. I am knowledgeable thanks to books.

  • Growing Up Next to a Mountain

Growing Up Next to a Mountain
On the weekends from 2009 to 2015, I lived in Wisconsin. I slept on an air mattress. Instead of looking at my phone, I ran through a forest, built forts, hiked up a mountain, and explored. When it got dark outside, the fireflies would come out and it looked like all the twinkling stars had fallen from the sky and landed on the mountain and were suspended there. I fell in love with nature there.
  • Lemonade Stand

When I was younger, I saw a homeless man. I gave him all of the money I had on me. My mother of course, was horrified when she saw her 9 year old outside talking to a shabby man and ran outside and grabbed me. But I began to do something that mattered because of this. I volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and ran a lemonade stand at my grade school's football game. I made over 1,000 dollars over 3 years of running it, and all the money went to paying for less fortunate people's rent.
  • I learned how to play the flute

  • Transferring Grade Schools

    Transferring Grade Schools
I transferred from St. Juliana's to St. Paul of the Cross in the middle of my sixth grade year.
  • Joining Venture Crew 1

    Joining Venture Crew 1
I joined an outdoorsmanship crew in my freshman year. I have learned how to survive in the wilderness, and I have met many different people along the way. I've seen myself transform from a shy freshman into a confident leader thanks this program. I have taught classes, taught life-long skills, and I have discovered that being positive and kind will give you far more in return than you ever would have expected.
  • Future Cities

    Future Cities
In my 8th grade year, I was a part of an engineering team that had to design a city with the capabilities of producing enough food to feed the entire population for a year. I learned that I am a very creative person, and I designed the Vertical Farming System and helped write a 2,000 word essay on the system. We won Regionals for the state of Illinois and took 11th place in the country.
  • Gramma Alice Died

My Gramma Alice was an quirky old lady that lived in Oregon. She was an eccentric woman, and she did whatever she felt like doing, whenever she felt like doing it. I met her a total of 5 times in my life, and she was a lovely lady. I went to Oregon for her funeral the summer after she died, and all of her friends told me that I looked and acted exactly like her, and I had the same temper.
  • Graduation

    Graduation
Being in a Catholic Grade School created a very sheltered environment. I was constantly surrounded my kids whose parents were police officers, lawyers, doctors, and engineers. There was no variety, no change in my education. I had been surrounded by privileged kids for years, and I was tired of listening to them complain about their mediocre problems. Graduating was a step in my life to become a more open-minded person, and get to experience more freedom.
  • The Adoption of Katie

    The Adoption of Katie
I met my puppy in a small room. Her tail was in between her legs, her legs were shaking. I fell in love with the cutest, most loving furball I had ever met. For the remainder of her life, Katie would be my best friend. She licked my tears when I cried, and always added a twist of humor to an everyday chore. I gained a deeper appreciation for life and beauty, and how the small things in life matter. She was a joy.

    Summer Camp 2017
During the summer of 2017, I volunteered as the mercantile manager. I learned that I was unique. Every person has their own strengths and weaknesses, and I discovered that it's okay to be good at what you like doing. It's okay to be your own person, because as long as you're a good person, you're okay.
