    Kay invented the flying shuttle. This was a huge stem to automatic weaving.It allowed a single weaver to weave much wider fabrics, and it could be mechanized, allowing for automatic machine looms.

    Crompton invented the spinning mole. The spinning mole spun cotton and other fibers. It helped make clothes faster.

    Cort began refining iron from pig iron to wrought iron using innovative production systems.It was called the puddling process. He brought iron work near Portsmouth.

    Cartwright invented the power loom and the wool combing machine. The power loom was one of the key developments of weaving during the industrial revolution. The wool combing machine was arranged and lay parallel fibers of wool.
