Navigation Acts
Purpose- Britain wanted to direct trade between the Colonies and Great Britain. Outcome- This act angered the colonists so they started to smuggel goods. -
Proclamation Of 1763
Purpose- Set the borders for the Colonies so they could not push the Native Americains out of their land. Outcome- Made the colonists mad because they purchased land west already. -
The Stamp Act
Purpose- Britain put a tax on published or printed goods.
Ourcome- The Colonists formed 2 groups, The Sons Of Liberty and the Daughters Of Liberty. They also burnt effies, boycotted buying those goods and sighned non- Importion Agreements. -
Declaratory Act
Puropse- The Parliament had the right to tax and make decisions for the British Colonies. Outcome- The British Parliament issued two taxes against the British Colonies. -
Townshed Acts
Purpose- Parliament knew that the Colonists would resist all the internal taxes of the Stamp Act so the British put a trax on all of the imported goods. Outcome- By this time the Colonist's hated all of the taxes the British put on the Colonies. -
Tea Act
Purpose- This act allowed companys a virtual monoply of the trade for tea in Colonies. This act also allowed the companys to sell their tea directly to shopkeepers but bypass Colonial Merchants. Outcome- This made Colonial Merchants to call out or a new boycott. From this the Colonies vowed to stop India Company's ships from unloading. -
The Coercive Acts of 1774
Purpose- Required companys to sell its tea through London with tax. Outcome- This act reduced the price of tea in the Colonies. -
Quebec Act
Puropse- It replaced the temporary goverment of the Proclamation of 1763. Outcome- It granted Canadians freedom from the French civil goverment.
