Pau Gasol is a spanish professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. He was born to Marisa saez and Agusti gasol,and he was born in Barcelona Spain. -
High school
Gasol began playing basketball with his school team called Alvirne, and he eventually signed with cornella. When he was sixteen, he began playing for barcelona's junior team. He also won both the 1998 albert schweitzer tournment and the 1998 fiba europe under-18 championship. -
NBA Draft
on june 27th 2001, Pau gasol was drafted third overall pick by the atlanta hawks but was traded to the memphis grizzlies. in his rookie year, he averaged 17.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. he became rookie of the year. -
Traded to the Lakers
on february 1st, 2001 Gasol was traded to the Los angeles Lakers along with a 2010 second draft pick for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron Mckie, the rights of Marc Gasol Pau's younger brother, and 2008, and 2010 first round draft picks. In the playoffs gasol was going crazy. he scored 36 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 blocks. -

on june 17th 2008, Gasol and the lakers lost to the boston celtics by 50 points in game 5. it was a disappointing loss. in 2009 nba finals, the gasol and the lakers beat the orlando magic 4-1 series, and gasol had a game of his life. -

on june 17th 2010, Gasol and the lakers repeated as champions and got revenge against the celtics. Gasol scored 19 points, 18 rebounds and recorded 2 blocks. Gasol got his second ring. -
Present
Right now, hes preparing for his 12th season in the nba. I hope that he and his teammates win another championship. he practiced and worked out a lot this summer so I hope we can see him become a stronger and a better player. Since the lakers got Steve Nash and Dwight Howard, Gasol and his teammate Kobe Bryant, should get a lot of help from them.
