You are part the the City Planning Committee. Following the guidelines voted on by the citizens, will create a map of the city. This will take 1.5 class days. -
Parallel Line Mazes
Just in time for the Halloween corn mazes, we will take half a day to work on parallel line mazes. You know were the beginning is; you know where the end is, but how do you get there. This will help us give justifications for each step and develop our skills with proofs. -
Navajos and Geometry
Navajo rugs use mathematical properties to enhance their beauty. How can you describe these creative works of art with geometry? What properties of lines can you see and use to describe the patterns? We will take 1.5 days to find images of Navajo rugs and find equations of the parallel and perpendicular line. -
