My first word
I remembered talking about me growing up with my family members and they told me I was 9 month when I said my first word which was MAMA. I definitely don't remember saying this but it was a joyful moment to my parents. My mom said it was her best day ever and she try making me say other words but instead i was just laughing. -
ABC Song
I learnt my ABC/123 song. My mum and aunt will always sing it to me and that was how i grabbed it. -
Kindergarten class
I started kindergarten at the age of 4 and l learnt to hold pencil very well and position my hand on my board. This was back in africa, i started with a small black board before i graduated to using exercise book. -
Reading
I read my first story book at the age of 8 and the title was Ada Goes To School. i was very happy i cold read on my own even though there were some words i couldn't pronounce on my own. -
primary school / Middle School
I began primary school, where i learnt to do more in English, Math, Fine art, Language, PE. Take home works home. Learnt to be punctual in all i do. -
Secondary School / High School
I enrolled in secondary school. Made new friends. they had different sections in the school. so i choose to do Art because i loved to draw, paint and design. The headmistress/principal then took me to my new class location. And the Journey began. -
My first time using Lap top.
I and my family migrated to USA in the year 2012. I was very confuse when I got to this country.After some months I applied to AACC to continue with my education. When everything worked out with admission office, i registered my first class. And financial aid told me that i can buy laptop with my school grant. You all need to see me jumping around. I went straight to the book store got my first laptop (AUSUS). did my first homework on canvas, typed for the first time in my entire life. -
My first Presentation in class.
English is my first language. When i registered for speech class, i had no idea what i was getting myself in to. First day of class we had to introduce ourselves, i was very nervous. she went through the syllabus and it append we are going to present five speech. I loved the fact that i will learn to use my laptop top create a power point presentation. But I was not happy that i will have to stand in front of the whole class and present my powerpoint, which was about myself. The rest is history. -
Conquered my biggest fear
My biggest fear use to be speaking in public. October 2014, my school had this event called box sisters. Students had to give speech to 150-200 students plus visitors. My professor asked me if am interested, I said no before she could finish her question. After hard thinking about it, i went back to her office to let her know that i am interested. she was happy that i will participate. she prepared me well and the big day came, i was very nauseous and nervous but i told myself i can do it. -
First Big Essay Writing
I never wrote 3-4 pages of essay writing. This happened when i registered for English class, I was very scared, but it went well, with the help of tutors. I passed the class with B. -
