  • Elie Weisel is Born

    Elie is born in Transylvania, Romania

  • Nazis carry out Kristallnacht

    Destroys 7500 Jewish owned stores and synagoges.

  • Elie meets Moshe the Beadle

  • Moshe escapes the Concentration camp

    Moshe comes back to warn all Jews that the Nazis are going to come

  • Nazis come and arrest Jewish leaders and shut down many synagoges.

  • All Sighet Jews were forced from their homes

    They were told to line up in the streets. The first group set off on a train

  • Elie and his fasmily were moved to the "little ghetto"

  • Elie and his family were moved into the second group and sent on the train.

  • Elie arrives at the Concentration Camp.

  • Elie gets surgery on his right foot. He and his father are moved to a new camp sight. His father soon dies.

  • U.S. troops come and save Jews from Nazis
