Vladek meets Anja
Vladek Speigleman meets Anja Zylberberg for the first time in Sosnoweic, Poland. He is introduced to her through his girlfrend at the time, Lucia Greenberg. Exact date unclear. -
Vladek marries Anja

A notice went up in the P.O.W camp Vladek was in, announcing that workers were needed to replace german workers who were called to the front. Others thought it was a trick, but Vladek refuesd to be left to die in the P.O.W camp. -
