they arrive at the camp and see the fire and smoke comming from the chimmney. they also smell burning flesh as they get off the carts. -

His father asks to use the bathroom when they enter the camps and gets screamed at. -

at the camp elie is taken away from his mother and sister. its only him and his father -

Elie meets his cousin and lies to him. Saying that his children and wife are safe, even though they were killed as soon as they got to the camp -

Father passes the second chack and Elie gives him his stuff back -

Elie's foot swells and the doctor orders surgery. -

Elie's father grows weaker and he is tested on how he takes care of him -

an SS officer his his dad across the head and he is dying slowly from starvation and the blow -

While Elie was asleep, his father passes away. Upon his awakining, he was sad yet happy, because his dad was now free. -
