They live with many people packed int one house. All valuables are taken from them, but they stay positive and even form their own government. -
The Jews are sent to a smaller ghetto.
The ghetto is unguarded and people can come and go. Elie's family is offered a safehouse from Maria. They refuse, -
The Jews are loaded on a train and sent away.
There are 80 people per car, and if someone tries to escape they will be shot. A woman screams "Fire! I see fire! I see fire!" -
Elie and his family arrive to Birkenau
