Columbus set off on his voyage funded by the king and queen of spain. He went in search of a faster trade route to Asia. He landed in the new world and found many new things not available in Europe. -

Hernan Cortes
Cortes heard about Columbus' voyage and went to the new world himself. He arrived in Mexico in 1519 and conqured the whole Aztec civilization. This resulted in the wipeout of their entire empire. -

Pineda was another spanish explorer who sailed to the Caribbean. He landed in Jamaica and then went to Florida. He succesfully mapped the coast was the first to do so. -

De Vaca set sail towards the New world. His leader was Narvaez and they went off to explore Florida. -

De Vaca wanted to go to Cuba from Hispanoila so he tried sailing but his fleet was battered by a hurricane and he sailed to Florida. He tried to sail back to Hispanoila but was set off course again and landed in Galveston. He met the Karankawas who cried for 30 minutes up on his arrival there. -

Fransisco Coronado
Coronado went to Mexico in search of the 7 cities of gold. His leader was Hernando De Alarcon. Coronado came across many tribes during his expidition. He never found the 7 cities of gold and was found guilty of various crimes. -

Luis De Moscoso
Moscoso was a member of an expedition led by Hernando De Soto to get gold and riches in the New World. De soto died in 1542. -

Fray Marcos and Esteban
Fray Marcos set off from Spain in 1540 to explor America. He then went to search for the 7 cities of gold and reported that he saw it but it was from a distance becaue his friend Esteban had been killed in one of the 7 cities.
