The end of Ku
During this period, American missionaries visited the islands of Hawaii and forcefully ended the Ku's reign over Hawaii. Then a year later they prohibited anyone from following religious ways that didn't align with the essence of American influence and essentially banned the Huna religion just like the Ku did. -
The official start of the New Huna Religion
As American mercenaries had control over the religion in Hawaii and forbidden native American religions, Huna had to still be kept undercover. However, in 1979, America passed the Native American Religious Freedoms Act. Because of this with the stories and tradition of the Huna religion passed down from the year 300 AD, were now able to be publicly followed without persecution of any kind, ushering in a new age of the Huna religion.
