First Day at West kildonan
The night before the first day of high school I couldn’t sleep, anxiety and fear of meeting new people and embarrassing myself flooded through my brain like a river. That next day when I officially became a high schooler, I put on my best outfit, brushed out my long brown hair and put a smile on my face as i entered those big front doors. I felt so tiny compared to all these other people but that day was a success after we all played games and tried to get comfortable in this big school. -
coming back to school for grade 10
After being gone for so many months and having a pandemic for the first time in my life I was terrified of going back to school. I looked different and it was weird having to walk around with a mask covering my face. The fear of contracting this virus was very scary and made me not wanna go out so when I walked into the school in grade 10 and only half of my peers were there I felt like I would throw up. Even though we only had to go every second day, I really did not want to be or go to school. -
Going to the hospital
My mouth felt like it might burst if I went any longer without going to the hospital and so i went to my grandma and she drove me right away. The infection from getting my tooth pulled had spread to the roof of my mouth and I was in excruciating pain. I got there and waited for what felt like a decade before they got me in to see the doctor. They poked my arms with needles for the iv and flushed fluids into my body which gave me some relief but it didn’t fully take away the pain.
