Sweet Tooth!
When I was about six months old in New Orleans Louisiana, where we were staying down there because my Grandma was sick. One time, my mom left to go take shower and left me, and my three year old sister in the care of my Grandparents maid Nora. When she got out though she found my sister and I rolling around wrestling on the floor over a sippy cup. It turns out, Nora had put coke in my cup and my sister wanted some, To this day I love sweet foods, and my favorite drimk is coke! -
Saint Patricks Day Parade!
When I was about one and a half, my whole family on my moms side came in for the Saint Patricks Day Parade and party here in Dubuque. We're all die heart Irish people, especially my Grandma. So we rented a trolly to ride in the parade in. We ended up having the biggest float there! Although I don't remember it, I'm always told about stories, and see pictures from that day! And I know everyone was really happy! -
My Sister was born
When I was three and a half, my little sister Ella was born. I don't really remember that much of it, but I do remember how excited everybody was. However, and that particular day I was sick with the flu, and all I really did was sit in my Grandma's arms. And when my baby sister came home, I remember jumping around with my older sister because we were all so excited! -
R.I.P. Wolfie
In 2002, my dads dog Wolfie died. He was my dad's dog and I didn't really know him that well, I remember being afraid of him for awhile. But when he died, I just started balling. It was the first real consious experience I had had with death, and the fact that I never was going to see him again was, overpowering to a four year old. -
Hot Dog in my asophogus
When I was about five, I pretty much almost died from choking on a hot dog. I remember how scary it was! It felt like I couldn't breath! And my parents didn't know what was wrong with me! Soon, I was rushed to the hospital, where I had to undergo a series of tests and X-rays, and they told me what had happened. To this day I still hate hot dogs. -
My dogs!
When I was six, I got my two dogs Sox and Plato! Two adorable chocolate labs, named after pholosophers! Our family had never really had a pet before, besides my dad's dog Wolfie, so this was a big deal! My mom had picked me up from school on Friday saying she had a big surprise! Little did I know, that seven years later, those dogs would be sleeping my bed! -
My Grandma's 80th Birthday.
In 2006, my Grandma turned eightie, and we had a huge blow out party for her at the American Legion! It was so fun, because all of my distant relatives came out for that one night. People I hadn't seen for years were there! And we ended up partying all night until they kicked us out! Then we just went back to our house and partied some more. It was great because I know we all had fun! -
Mardi Gras
In Febuary 2007, are family made our yearly trip to New Orleans. But this time, we were going for Mardi Gras! Our family had always celerbated Mardi Gras in Dubuque, and with family in New Orleans, but we had never actually been to and experienced the magic of the parades. It was extroadinary. And despite the stereotypes of it, the people who have been there, know that the parades are actually very family oriented. And thats what I experienced, True magic. -
Jonas Brothers Concert
When I was in third grade, I went to my first Jonas Brothers concert with my cousin Hope, in Rosemont Chicago. It was the first time I had really ever done anything that big and fun, and I was really excited! I really didn't know who the Jonas Brothers were, but I was super excited! And when we arrived, it was amazing! I was stunned by how good they were, and how passionate! It really inspired me. I've been a die heart Jonas Brothers fan since, and have been to three other Joe Bros. concerts! -
Florida
When I was 10, I took my first really big trip not including New Orleans, and this time, it was without my parents. My sisters, my grandma, my Aunt, and my two cousins flew to Orlando Florida, and met up with my Uncle. We stayed for five days, and the experience was memorable! We went to Disney World, and the beach, and have so many crazy stories from that trip! It was one of the happiest times ever! -
My Cousin Gennie's wedding
In fifth grade over Thanksgiving break, my family took a trip down south for my cousin Gennie's wedding. Everyone was so excited, because it was supposed to be a great bash! And my sisters and I were going to be junior bridesmaids in it! I remember getting to New Orleans, and having all of my relatives come together for the first time in years! Walking down the aisle was awesome! But the best part was spending the holidays with my dad's family for a change, and seeing all of my crazy relatives! -
Saints win the Superbowl
For as long as I can remember, our family has been big saints fans. And until 2010, they never really had a good season. However, when they came out on the field in 2010, we new this time, it was different. They had a terrific season! And before long, they had made it to the playoffs, and then the superbowl! I remember how excited my family was! And when they won, at our house, it was a party all night! That's one thing I'll never forget! -
Iowa Open
In the summer of 2011 I competed in my first tennis tournament. The Iowa Open was in the Cedar Rapids in July. My cousin Sarah and I competed in for doubles in the twelves division. We beat out a couple teams, and made it to the final, but there we sadly fell in a super tie breaker. Although I was upset we lost I was really happy that we did as good as we did! And I have competed and earned titles in several other tournaments since! -
Aunt Genn's Funeral
In Febuary of this year, my Great Aunt Genn passed away, at 99 years old. My Aunt Genn was a crazy old women that never let anybody else be the boss. And I think everybody took her passing to heart. However, we celebrated like she wanted us too, and through a blow out party with all my relatives in honor of her. We even dressed up as clowns to her funeral. And even though it was a sad day, we some how managed to make it happy, which is how I know she wanted it.
