Oregon Trail (The Educational Computer Game)
I will always remember this game. This was the first time i ever sat down to a computer. It wasa at Meadows Elementary during our weekly visit to the library. I remember always being excited to get to go play my Oregon Trail game and thinking how cool it ws that the machine always recalled where I left off the previous week -
My 1st Ipod
When I was growing up the CD collection that everyone had was extensive. It took forever to decide what CD to play from my 500 pack case but after I recieved my first ipod everything changed. It so was convenient and tiny and portable. I was stunned. I took it everywhere with me and became a staple for being considered "cool" After the invention of the ipod never again with it cool to me carrying around a portable CD player and I loved it! -
Iphone/Smart Phone
Even though I remember my first cell phone I think that my first Smart phone was more impactful. Smart Phones are exactly what the name implies and have changed everyones life forever. I remember being able to record myself in one of my CMM classes with the phone and just looking over it for a critique without habing to bring a video camera. It was extremely convenient and continues to be. -
My first Online Class
I remember signing up for my first online class and being so nervous. But it needed the course as a prerequisite and it needed to be done over the summer. I was going to be out of town, therefore, it was my only option. Being able to interact with classmates and keep up with classwork in that type of setting from the convenience of your own home was amazing. Twenty years ago no one knew it was even possible! -
Garmin (GPS)
I remember my 21st birthday like it was yesterday and also remember one of the big gifts I wanted, a GPS. I was going to be moving to Washington, DC in just a couple of months and knew I couldnt get anywhere without it. I cant even remember life without it or the struggle of having to know how to read a map. I do and always will love GPS.
