My Technological Progression

  • My First Home Computer

Although I don't remember the exact time, around my 5th birthday my parents had purchased our first desktop computer at home. My siblings and I spent countless hours playing games like Pinball or Minesweeper. We were all so excited to have access to our very own computer.
  • First Playstation

When I was 9 years old, my mom bought the Playstation 3 for our family. I remember being so excited to play all of the fun games like Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk Pro Skater with my brothers. We would play for hours and waste so much time.
  • First Cell Phone

At the beginning of 8th grade I received my first phone. It was an old flip phone that one of my older siblings had used before me, but I remember being so excited to just have a phone at least. It had a cracked screen and the volume adjuster was broken, but I was just happy to have something to text and call my friends on.
  • My First iPhone

During my sophomore year I was able to get my first iPhone. My first phone had finally broke enough that it couldn't be used anymore, so my parents were nice enough to help me upgrade to an iPhone 4. I was so excited, but also so nervous since it seemed to breakable. I can proudly say I never dropped it though!
  • My First Laptop

I graduated from High School in 2015 and was about to go off to college. I knew that I would need constant access to a computer, so I had saved up my tips from work to purchase a new laptop for myself to take. It was the first major purchase I had made with my money, so I was terrified that it would break somehow, but it worked great! It felt amazing to be able to purchase something like that on my own.
