My Reading Growth In 7th Grade

  • My Summer in Pink and Green

My Summer in Pink and Green
I would rate this novel 4 our of 5 stars. The setting in this novel is a pharmacy and a school. The main character is very smart and intelligent. The conflict is the pharmacy is shutting down and they have to try and save it. I liked this book because it explained a lot about not just thinking about yourself all the time, but other people too. I didn't like how some people in the novel didn't care about things.
  • Glory Be

    Glory Be
I would rate this book 3 out of 5 stars. The setting is mostly Glory's house and her community pool. Sometimes it would be at the school. The character Glory is very nice to people but she get's really mad when there pool is shutting down. The problem is the pool is shutting down and she does everything to try and save it. I didn't like how there was some violence in the novel, like someone punches someone. But I did like how the book was about friendship mostly.
  • The Outsiders

    The Outsiders
I would rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars. The setting of the outsiders is the park, the movies, the barn, and ponyboy's house. The characters always are bullied in this novel, and the characters are calm but when something happens they aren't as calm anymore. I liked how it was sort of a mystery and I didn't like how there were so many kids getting bullied.
  • Pretty Little Liars

    Pretty Little Liars
I would rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars. This book has a lot of settings in it. Like the school and all of the girls houses. The characters are very suspicious about things. There are good people and bad characters. The conflict is all the main girls are getting mean texts and the texts are saying about their secrets and no one knew their secrets but one girl. I liked how this book was very mysterious and I didn't like how there was some violence in it.
  • Wonder

    Wonder
I would rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars. The setting of this novel is mostly a school and the main characters house. The main character is named August and the main problem is he has a bad disorder, and he found a really good friend who doesn't care about his disorder. But then he talks bad about him behind his back and August heard. There were a lot of people making fun of him. I liked how the book was very interesting but I didn't like how people made fun of him, and his dog died.
  • Almost Home

    Almost Home
I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. The setting of this book is like everywhere because they don't have a house to live in and they travel everywhere to find somewhere to stay. The main character Sugar is very brave because she's very upset inside but tries not to show it outside. I liked how this book was about family and how she was trying to save her mom. i didn't like how they lost there home and had no where to sleep.
  • The Giver

    The Giver
I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The setting of this book the community, like everywhere in the community. The main character is very nice and he cares about a lot of people. The problem is the main character Jonas is the new receiver of memory and he wants everyone to see what he see's but no one can. I liked how the book got me like what was going to happen next. I didn't like how people didn't care about each other.
  • Self-Assessment

    Self-Assessment
I have grown as reader because now after reading all these books I now remember more about what I just read. I have grown as a thinker because now I think more about what is asked to me. My goal for next year is to focus more in class. I want to listen ti the teacher when she speaks. I'm not going to try to talk to my friends when the directions are giving out. I'm going to try and be a much better person then this year.
